Three Minneapolitans Walk Into a Recording Studio in a Blizzard

Steve was producing Karen Haglof's record (which one now ??) and I got a call from Steve and he said "Lianne, what are you up to?" (Uh , nothing since a blizzard was in the process of brewing.) "Lianne, I'm in the studio with Karen and we're missing a singer. Can you do it?" So I headed over to Cowboy Technical -- it wasn't too bad yet. In fact, he and Karen had walked there earlier over the Williamsburg Bridge. We laughed because as the snow started to pile higher and higher -- here were the three of us together who had grown up with this kind of snow. He was dedicated! I managed to make it home late that day by walking down the center of Broadway under the J train towards the G train before it totally shut down. Steve (and Karen!) gave me one of my best memories of New York City.
